National Museum: Located at the axis of Pademba Road/Siaka Stevens Street in the center of town close to the Cotton Tree.

Cotton Tree: Stand beneath the bowers of this iconic tree-older than the city itself – is to tread the turf where Freetown’s Nova Scotian settlers sang hymns in thanks for their safe passage in 1792. Majestic and long-suffering- slaves were once sold there. The tree still conjures up nations of Freetown’s honoured heritage.  Today its huge branches chaperone the state of busy downtown, filling the main roundabout on Siaka Stevens Street.

Cultural Museum : Known as the peace museum in commemoration of our brave soldiers who fought in various wars including the first and second world wars and the civil conflict in Sierra Leone.

Maroon Church : You can literally touch history in this downtown church, some of whose pews and rafters come from the ship that first brought 550 Maroons- former Jamaican slaves – from Nova Scotia at the end of the eighteenth century. The church was built about 1820, making it one of Freetown’s oldest. It is pretty, petite and very welcoming.

Big Market : This is the place to shop for arts and craft, locally made costumes, artefacts and other cultural items unique to Sierra Leone. Get your souvenirs here.
Lunch : Possibly at any of the restaurant in town.

Day 4

Half Day York Village Tour & fun activities in the evening

York is a distinctly Krio village with a rich history though the village also comprises of various other tribes. Prior to the arrival of the liberated slaves, the Sherbro were settled in the area and the village as called Momimi. York village is over 200 years old, predominantly Christian with old churches and beautiful layout and fauna.

Though written history is a bit difficult to come by, York appears to have definitely hosted members of the Royal family most likely during the first and/or second world wars. Some reports say The King’s Yard was formally a post guard area chosen by the British Military commanders during the First World War which broke out in 1914. It was also a spying point for the Royal guards who protect the Royal family. It was believed that the Queen spent all of her time here during the First World War. Other reports say that after the slave era, during the Second World War, the royal family was stationed in the King’s Yard. The structure is over 150 years old.

Typical of houses in English style, slave masters used to build such houses across Sierra Leone. Today, krios are synonymous with this style of architecture. The streets of York are well-planned and are similar to houses in the deep south of the United States Be back by lunch time and relax.

We have arranged few water sports activities for you like Catamaran sailing & Jet Skies. You can also take a stroll on the beach and admire the beauty of Tokeh. Set menu dinner will be served on the beach with a romantic set-up
