Day 2


Kigali City Tour  

After breakfast at 8am, you will be picked by the driver guide to to Kigali Genocide Memorial to pay homage to the victims of Genocide against Tutsi. Rwanda’s painful past has haunted the country for years; however, their impressive recovery story has turned them into an inspiration. The Kigali Genocide Memorial is the final resting place for more than 250,000 victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.It honors the memory of the more than one million Rwandans killed in 1994. The memorial also serves to educate about genocide and peace -building around the world and after that we will proceed to the Campaign against Genocide memorial. 

After you will proceed to to Fazenda Sengha which is an equestrian and outdoor recreational center on the outskirts of Kigali, on the top of Mt Kigali where you will do Zip lining and quad biking

Kivu Lake Adventure

Lake Kivu is Rwanda’s largest and Africa’s sixth largest lake extremely good-looking inland water body enclosed by steep, green terraced hills along eastern Rwanda, Lake Kivu stands at a height of1, 460 meters (4,790 ft) above sea level, 89 km in length and 48 km wide, covering a surface of 2700 km2 at an average depth of 240m with maximum depth at 480m, water volume of 500km3. It stands across the border connecting western Rwanda to the Democratic Republic of Congo and is surrounded by forested hills, with sandy bays and fishing villages. Lake Kivu empties into the Ruzizi River, which flows southwards into Lake Tanganyika. About 58% of the Lake Kivu waters lies inside DR Congo borders, the world’s tenth-largest island on a lake, Idjwi, lies in Lake Kivu, within the boundaries of Virunga National Park. Settlements on the lake’s shore include Bukavu, Kabare, Kalehe, Sake and Goma in Congo, and Gisenyi, Kibuye, and Cyangugu in Rwanda.


LAKE KIVU TOUR- Gisenyi


The tour will start at 8am, with pick up at your place of residence to Gisenyi. You will visit Rubona village (where there is the hot springs) and a market near Bularilwa Brewery known as Brasserie which a beer brewery. Hot springs tour is one of Rwanda’s top tourist attractions in the area and worth a visit and walk around the lake. This hot spring came as result of the sulfur from volcano, the water is said to have health impact by healing muscles. You will end the experience with a Mud bath
